AGUNG AWAKENS
This piece imagined after Mt. Agung of Bali erupted on 17-22 Nov 2017. Most people find volcanic eruptions beautiful despite its danger. Despite the eruption, pyroclastic flows, lahar and lava flows, tourism afloat in Indonesia. 1963 was the last eruption prior to 2017.

On August 14 2017, Paul Gerhard Schaefer was presented the Cross of the Order of Merit (Verdienstkreuz am Bande) of the Federal Republic of Germany. He is a very good friend and had encouraged me to conduct the exhibit at the German Club. He named the title of this piece – Thoughts. We lost a good friend and brother – Paul passed away last November.
